A night of queer sadness, anger, happiness, and DANCING!
Mal Blum is a nonbinary punk-influenced indie rock artist from New York. Their most recent album, "You Look a Lot Like Me", produced by Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females, tackles topics of loneliness, isolation, and mental illness through a lens of self-effacing humor. Mal Blum plays shows solo, and backed by a band.
"The thing about Mal's songs is that they will rip your heart out of your fucking chest but also will make you laugh at the same time."
GRLwood is "two angry lesbian genderfuck feminists screaming at you." In the past six months, the GRLwood duo has dominated the punk and hardcore scene of Louisville, KY, playing shows almost every day of the week. Their most recent demo "2 FAGS", released in October, will chew your ears up and spit them out.
"GRLwood's songs are middle fingers to the status quo. The two are defined by defiance."
